<Can it, Marco,> I said. Sometimes all he did was just sit there and complain about things or make stupid, sarcastic comments. Sometimes they were actually funny but not usually. It was like torture right now. I strutted back and forth, jerking my head and fluttering my wings, trying to act like a run-of-the-mill everyday seagull. Things would have been fine if it wasn’t for the fact that Marco was being so stupid. We were in seagull morph—Marco, Ax and I. We were spying on Hewlett Aldershot the Third, who obvious wasn’t going anywhere in his hospital bed. The Yeerks wanted this man and we needed to find out why and put a stop to it—he could get to the people on top and we sure as hell didn’t want that.
Tobias was watching out for us and we’d earlier switched with Cassie and Jake. We were alternating shifts. So far, nothing. This was really getting boring so all we had to do was talk. <How are we doing on morphing time Ax?>

Ax didn't quite understand just why the seagulls did as they did; he just did it, because he'd been told to do so, that it wouldn't arouse suspicion from the other Controllers. Marco, as usual, was commenting on random things, most of which Ax couldn't quite understand. <Can it, Marco,> Rachel told him.
<Just what do you wish for Marco to can?> the confused Andalite-turned-seagull replied, peering in the window to check if anything was going on with the human. Hewlett Aldershot the Third was being closely monitored by doctors that certainly were Controllers, but nothing, so far, had changed about him or the situation in the room.
Then, Rachel asked how they were doing on morphing time. Due to the fact that he had an internal clock, the Andalite was able to respond: <We have been in morph for approximately one of your hours and thirteen of your minutes, Rachel.>
Crimea switched to Jake for certain reasons. Regard the light blue as Ax's, the rest are going to be made on the Ax NPC account.

Marco huffed. <I'm only saying, we've been through this routine too many times. If any controllers saw us, they'd think we're gulls on drugs or something. Always returning here.> He grumped. Then he laughed out loud at Ax's question. < I think I may be canning some beans.> Saying that, he was reminded of a song. <'The Navy gets the Gravy, while the Army gets the beans...Beans beans beans beans, beans beans beans...'>
Ax answered Rachel's question and Marco did the math. <That means we have 47 minutes left to fly around like a lunatic, because nothing's happening...> He flew around some more and sighed. <I'm missing my daily show because of this.> He thought a moment. <Oh, yeah, and they're everyone's minutes, Ax!>

((OOC: You forgot to remind Ax they're his minutes as well. Feel free to edit it in. XD))
<I am missing These Messages,> Ax agreed with Marco. <But this mission is of the utmost importance.> He didn't really understand what Marco was saying in addition, but instead replied, <I tried beans while in human morph once. They did not agree with my human digestive tract.>

The last thing she remembered was that thing dominating her mind. Now, she was on some random rooftop, and, suffice to say, things were different...even more different than the change of scenery. She was disoriented by the fact that she could now see in all directions without turning her head. It was as if there were new appendages on her head, and it made her dizzy.
She couldn't speak. She couldn't make noises. She could breath, though, and she could hear herself breathing, something opening and closing on her face as she did. She was taller than she remembered being...looking down, she saw a blue-furred body, ending in hooves. Hooves. And there was something else, on her butt. She turned her...extra, eyes, to face it...and nearly freaked. A blade of bone, so sharp, it could decapitate her in seconds.
She felt...stronger. Faster. And...happier. It was some sort of...optimism. And confidence. It came from within; it wasn't her feelings. It was just...there. She saw...a hawk? Coming towards her? All around, buildings; she was on the roof of one...
((Tag, to Tobias)).

I had been keeping an eye out from my perch on a nearby building, preening as I watched what was going on which wasn’t much except the others were strutting around in seagull morph trying to pass themselves off as the real deal. It looked convincing but then again I’m no expert on seagulls and I really don’t like the pests.
Then something very familiar appeared on a distant building top that caught my attention. It was an Andalite, and did not look like Ax or Elfangor. I couldn't be sure who he was, or whether or not he was on our side. <Uh, Jake,> I called out to our leader. <We’ve got a little problem here.>
<What is it Tobias?> he replied. He and the others were in seagull morph and a distance from us.
<An Andalite just appeared out of nowhere. I’m going to check it out if you have no problem with that.>
<Sure Tobias. Be careful.>
<No worries,> I said opening my wings and letting the breeze take me, turning my feathers so I effortlessly glided to the roof of a bank. As I did I saw a certain limo pulling up at the hospital. <Uh oh, guys, looks like we’ve got company. Visser Three’s headed your way.>
I continued towards the Andalite, he looked disoriented. Strange I thought, gliding effortlessly to the roof of the building and peering down at him.
<It looks confused,> I told Jake. <I’m going to try and speak with it.> Maybe it was the Ellimist doing what he did but I didn’t tell this to Jake—he was probably thinking the same thing for all I knew.
He thought about it. Then, <Go ahead, don’t give away that we’re human. We don’t know who or what it could be.>
I was good with that. I called out to the Andalite. <Hello? How did you get here?> I waited for it to answer.

Jamie's eyes widened. Telepathy. It had used telepathy. And that was not all. It...was a talking bird. A BIRD. A hawk, nonetheless. It had to be the bird. There was nothing else there. And it was talking. In her head.
Jamie started to wonder if she was dreaming. If the Yeerk had put her in some sort of sleep. But everything felt so real. Still, that could be the way of the Yeerk. <You can end this dream now,> Jamie said. <I'm not fooled. What the fuck kind of dream is this, anyway?> She crossed her arms, not realising she'd just projected her thoughts to anyone in range...

((OOC: If you’re wondering why Jake and Rachel are being bunnied in our posts, it’s because they’re NPCs.))
<I am so missing that sale down at Old Navy,> Rachel groaned. <It’s my turn to fly. Be right back.> With that, she flew off, leaving Aximili alone on the ledge with Marco. And that’s when he heard Tobias’ thought-speech to his prince. The Andalite juvenile was confused, when he heard Tobias speaking of a Hork-Bajir appearing out of no-where. He wondered if it was a trap, and why and how the Yeerks would do such a thing. Not even the Andalites had the power to instantly teleport a being from one place to another.
Then, he tensed. <The Abomination,> he said, thought-speech dripping with the animosity he held towards the foul murderer of his brother. He could only faintly hear the thought-speech between Tobias and the Hork-Bajir. He certainly heard the words “cousin” and “nothlit.” Was this a fellow Andalite? <Prince Jake, what are they saying?> <He’s saying he’s an Andalite trapped in morph, Ax. But right now, I need you to find out what Visser Three is doing,> Jake replied. <And don’t call me prince.> Ax blinked hopefully, strutting across the ledge, moving his seagull head back and forth. <Yes, Prince Jake.> As he did, he looked down at the Visser, hatred surging up in his hearts...or heart, in this case.
Then, suddenly, he heard a voice in his head. <You can end this dream now. I'm not fooled. What the fuck kind of dream is this, anyway?>
Aximili projected his thoughts to the other Animorphs. <Dream? Who said that?> the aristh asked them.

((OOC: After this, let’s stop post-whoring, and allow Marco/Cassie to post)).
Esplin 9466 Prime was displeased, but when, if ever, was there a time when he wasn’t? He hated using this morph; humans were so weak. He preferred his Andalite body to this man that he had to morph to hide among the human populace when it was needed. The doors of his vehicle opened, and he stepped out, heading into the building. Those who knew who he was, avoided him like the plague as he made his way onto the elevator, then to the room where Hewlett Aldershott the Third was being held. He entered the room, glaring at the comatose human, and then at the two doctors, who were shaking in fear of the Visser. A balding doctor said, “He was hit a bit hard, Visser; he is still re-recovering...”
The Visser, annoyed, began to demorph to his host’s natural form. There were only Controllers in this room, and he wanted his tail. As soon as his Andalite form was reassumed, he pressed his blade to the balding doctor’s throat. <I gave orders that this human be cured! There is no point placing one of our people in head if he is unable to move!>
The doctor began to explain what was going on with the man, and why a Yeerk wouldn’t be able to take over him right now. Of course, Visser Three wouldn’t hear any of it.
The Abomination interrupted him, blade still pressed to the doctor-Controller’s throat. <I don’t care about his brainstem, I want him repaired! Do you have any idea how useful this human would be to us? He is the number two man in the organisation that guards their president. He would have access to half the secrets on this planet. This is why I arranged for him to be injured and brought here.> He then withdrew his tailblade. The doctor collapsed to the ground in fear. <You really leave me with no choice. If we can’t use this creature as a host, I’ll have to acquire and morph him.> He walked over to the man, and placed his hand on his forehead, focusing, and acquiring him. <I can’t spend all my time in his form. I can’t live his life. But using him, I can get close to his superior. I can use this morph to seize her instead!>
“Then it’s all worked out for the best, Visser,” the other doctor, a thin man with large glasses, said. Annoyed with the fool, the Visser knocked the doctor across the room with the flat of his blade. His glasses fell from his face.
<Don’t tell me, ‘it’s all worked out for the best,’ fool,> he sneered. <I still want this human repaired; that’s the only reason I will let you live. Three days from now, this human will be well, or the two of you will be very, very...sick.> He noticed something in the window. His first thoughts were annoyance at the stupid Earth birds, and the second were that it might be an Andalite. Then, he heard thought-speech in his head; his suspicions were confirmed...though, the thought-speech he'd heard, did not sound like an Andalite...He moved away, so that he wouldn’t be seen by the seagull, and began to morph...

Marco waited...and waited...and waited some more. Finally he sighed. <What, no direction for me? Don't I feel so special?> He sat there for a second and then said, <Well, at least give me something!>
He sat there for a moment longer, and then burst out, <Hey, what am I supposed to do? Dress in Grass and do the hula?!> He looked back to watch Visser 3 do whatever he was doing when he noticed he was gone! <Uh, Jake? I don't see Visser Three....is that bad?> he asked with an innocent tone to his voice. <Because I think it might be.>

They'd soon find out; something crashed through the glass window, and the many-winged kafit bird burst through, ready to attack the seagulls, whether they be Andalite or not.

Jake wasn't sure who the Andalite was, and it was pretty puzzling, though they pretty much had some other matters to deal with. Still, he was close to the Andalite, and as the leader, he was responsible for dealing with these types of things. <<Keep watch on the Visser, Ax and Marco,>> he said, neglecting to mention the Andalite; once the Visser was out of the area, he'd tell them, no sense distracting them from their mission now. He landed on the building across from Tobias.
Suddenly, the Andalite's thought-speech rang through his mind; apparently, the others had heard it. This did not sound like an Andalite. Jake figured he didn't know how to use thought-speech correctly...or something. He was obviously confused. <<Look over at the seagull to your right,>> he said, projecting the speech to Tobias and the Andalite. <<Think at that, but only to that.>>
With that, he had a query: <<What's your name? And are you really an Andalite?>> He hoped the Andalite wouldn't take offense...but he felt it wasn't an Andalite. And this was definitely bizarre...more bizarre than everything else had been.

Seagull? Talking seagull? Jamie couldn't help but laugh, as she turned her eyes to the white bird perched to her right. <<Jamie Gaunler,>> she replied, projecting the thoughts towards him. <<What the heck is an Andalite? And for that matter, why are seagulls and hawks talking to me? Are you aliens or something? Please tell me you're not connected with the Yeerks...>>
For some reason, her body tensed at mention of Yeerks. Her tailblade rose. She hated Yeerks for some reason...though, of course, she had her own reasons to.

Ax was still confused. But then, he realised he and Marco were in terrible danger, as a six-winged bird shattered the glass as it flew through the window. <This cannot be possible!> he cried in shock; the kafit bird was a creature of his homeworld. The Abomination had been there?! It flew towards Ax and Marco. <<Marco! Get out of its way!>> Ax was taking this advice himself, dropping from the sill, folding his wings.

Jake noticed the bird far too late. <Everyone, on that bird!> he ordered the other Animorphs. <<I'd advise you stay where you are,>> he told Jamie, as he spread his wings and turned to the mutant raptor the Visser had morphed.media.photobucket.com/image/kafit/DevHalena/creatures.jpg <-- kafit, upper left-hand corner.
