Name: Garrafor-Langor-Qilton
Species: Andalite
Age: 56 (Earth)/8 (Andalite)
Gender: Male
Rank: Formerly War-Prince
Affiliation: Andalite Military
Appearance:
Garrafor is a powerfully-built Andalite all around, but mostly in the lower region of his body. His fur contrasts his brother, as it is a light, almost sky-blue. He stands tall, at 7' (a surprise to Hork-Bajir who meet him), from the top of his head, to his hooves. Atop his head, two stalk-eyes swivel upon sinewy stalks; both these, and his almond-shaped main eyes, are a light shade of green. Two pointed ears jut out from the sides of his head, and the fur on his face has begun going pink, especially around his three nose-slits. His long neck secures his head to his somewhat-thin, somewhat-muscled torso, with arms that are not quite as thin dangling from either side of his torso, ending in nimble, seven-digited hands. His head, neck, and hands are covered in courser fur, while that on his back, chest, and arms is longer and softer.
His torso is attached to a deer-like lower body, all of which is covered by the longer fur, and ends in four powerful legs, allowing for great speed, though, as a result of his size, Garrafor is slower than many Andalites. His rear legs are bent back in their joints. All four legs end in hooves, with dewclaws in the back. The fur partially obscures these hooves. The bottoms of his hooves are covered in pads to absorb the nutrients of the grass and water. And extending from his flank is that which makes the Andalite a most menacing opponent indeed: a long, powerful tail with a sharp, scythelike blade of bone. Garrafor's blade is massive, fitting his huge body and tail.
Garrafor's human morph is in his early fifties, a mixture of DNA from a few Swiss tourists he'd run across. This man is well-built, though slightly balding, with short, blond hair, and dark green eyes. His skin is rather pink.
Personality:
There could never be a more serene, peaceful Andalite. Even when he is doing nothing, this gentle Andalite exudes a feeling of calming. He is a father figure, and will protect those who need protecting. He believes in redemption, but, like any other Andalite, he despises the Yeerks. However, he is certain that in some Yeerks, there is a desire for an alternative to fighting; he seeks these Yeerks. Garrafor is humble, and approachable by anyone. He is a brilliant leader and tactician, and he fights with honour and dignity. He is known for keeping casualties low...if there are casualties at all.
History:
The son of Gasedion-Hantofar-Sarvor and Neri-Langor-Linoan, he was fraternal twins with his brother, Satesion-Hantofar-Ixius. His father expected great things from him and his son, and would train them at an early age; he would train them not only fighting, but other things. His brother was less honourable than he, and more competitive. Garrafor only had one person to impress: himself. If he could do so, he was happy. Of course, he was a hard fellow to impress. This drove him to make good grades in the Academy...or maybe it was just that he was a highly intelligent Andalite who always paid attention, and devoted his childhood to his studies.
He always looked beyond the skies, wanting to be an explorer. Wanting to become a captain of a great ship. Not long after he transitioned from aristh to warrior, the war with the Yeerks began, and his dreams of exploring were dashed: he had a duty, to his people. His brother, meanwhile, lived for the war. They both served on the StarSweeper under Captain Gasedion, and eventually, both were promoted to war-princes for their valor against the Yeerks.
The war wasn't going well; it was uncertain which side would win, and this was not good. Earth was the concern; what if, for some odd reason, the Dome ship failed to put an end to the Abomination and his invasion of the human homeworld? And thus, prior to the GalaxyTree's arrival on earth, there was the Azure Nova. Gashedion would get to be a captain for once. This small craft travelled the rift, to assess the situation and report to the GalaxyTree before it attacked. However, it was shot down by the Yeerks before it could report what forces they had.
Garrafor and Satesion were the only survivors of the Andalites' valorous battle against the Yeerks on the homeland that never reached the Andalites in space. The two brothers fled into foreign lands, hiding themselves within the humans, unable to inform their brethren of anything until it was too late. Eventually, they came in contact with another Andalite: Captain-Prince Nerefir. They joined forces with him, and have resisted forces since.
Recently, Garrafor left the two Andalites, explaining to them what he would do. Satesion was most unaccepting of it, but Garrafor did it anyway: he left for a new area of Yeerk invasion. And he had the Escafil device with him...
