Name of character: Cassie
Number of books you've read: 36. I have also read three of the Megamorphs and Visser and The Andalite Chronicles and the Hork-Bajir Chronicles
Do you like spoilers?: not really
Why you want to play this character: Cassie is my favorite Animorph. I admire her morality and find her reluctance makes her a believeable character.
Contact: rocklobster_jwt@yahoo.com. I am also on YIM. My user name there is rocklobster_jwt
I have also played Cassie on Animorphs: New Beginnings
RP Sample: My name is Cassie. I can't tell you my last name. I can tell you what I look like. I'm a blue-eyed African American with short curly hair. But that's all I can tell you. I can't trust anyone but my friends. There are Controllers everywhere. I am telling you everything I know because you are in danger. You may not realize it, but you are.
I really don't think I'm cut out for this fight. I'm no warrior. I'm too gentle-hearted. I love animals--I guess I love them even more than I love people. In the good old days, I helped out my parents at the zoo and even considered being a veterinarian. My family is very close-knit and I don't know what I'd do without them. Now look at me. I'm fighting parasites from outer space that no one can even see.
I wish I was lying. I wish I just forget what Ax and Elfangor have told us about the Yeerks' plans. But I can't forget those images of a barren world, completely devoid of life, out of my head. They haunt my nightmares. That's why I continue to fight them. Because I'm not lying.
Luckily, I'm not powerless. I'm an Animorph. That means I can become any animal I choose by touching it and acquiring its DNA. There's a 2-hour limit or I become stuck as that animal forever. I've been several kinds of animals--a playful dolphin, a cunning wolf, a graceful seagull, to name a few. I've even been a flea. Now that was strange!
I also know that I'm a special kind of Animorph. I'm called an Estreen, which means I can control the process without even thinking about it. I'm not sure how I do it, buy I know I'm the only one with this ability.
I'm not alone. Let me introduce you to the rest of the team. Jake is the leader. He doesn't want to be in this fight, but he'd do anything to save his brother Tom. He's so serious all the time. If it weren't for his friend Marco, he'd probably go crazy. I've grown to love him, only I'm not sure what to say to him.
Another strange friend I have is Tobias. After all, having a hawk for a friend can be pretty strange. But he hasn't always been that way. He was once a human boy and a very sad one. Now he's stuck as a hawk. But at the same time, he's free. Free of the prison that he was in for most of his life. And he has a family--his father is Elfangor and his uncle is Ax. THey're a family he never knew he even had. And like his father, he too is willing to sacrifice himself. The fact that he became a nothlit is proof of that.
Marco, Jake's friend, is certainly not my type. I guess he's attractive, but he's pretty annoying at times. He's got this great way of analyzing the situation and coming up with the best possible solution. He might complain, but he knows this is an important task only he can perform. We've clashed several times over some of his plans, because I don't like to cross the lines of morality. But I can't abandon my principles because if I do, I'm no better than the Yeerks.
Then there's Rachel, my polar opposite and Jake's cousin. It's amazing how well the two of us get along even though we're so different. I wish I had her fashion sense and her bravery. But I don't have those. THe only quality we actually share is that she also has a nice side to her.
Ax is another Andalite we know. He's Elfangor's brother. He's so inquisitive about us humans. And when he adopts his human form and tries to act like us, it's hard not to laugh at him. I really don't know what to make of him, so I tend to avoid him. I wish I didn't treat him that way, but I can't help it.
And I have one other ally. See that cross upon my wall? It's a token of Christ's love for me. God is my best ally. My Father in Heaven will never forsake me. My grandmother taught me that.
I just wish this war had never come. I'm not a fighter. But this is a fight I must win.
