Yeerk Name: Saldash Five-Two Double-Four the Prime (aka, Sotor Seven-Six-Seven)
Yeerk Age: 71
Host Name: Vek Notur
Host Species: Hork-Bajir Seer
Host Age: 6
Host Gender: Male
Rank: Visser Ten {Councilor Eight | Emperor}
Affiliation: Yeerk Empire {Himself, LOL}
Former Hosts: Gedd (M), Hork-Bajir (F), Hork-Bajir (M)
Host's Appearance:
Sotor is merely a grayish slug, with very little green to its shade, and very few markings. It is unremarkable in appearance, even when compared with other Yeerks.
Vek is massive - for a Hork-Bajir, that is. He towers at 8'7", and his body ripples with muscle. Upon his longs arms are sharp blades that can cut through flesh and bone like butter, and atop his head are three forward-swept horns. His eyes are an intimidating dark red; they seem to strike fear into those that he glares at. There is a long, jagged scar over his left eye and cheek. His well-shaped body is capable of achieving great speeds; across it are battle-scars. Upon his blades are stains - stains of blood that will not come off.
Host's Personality:
Vek is a warrior, unlike the peaceful tree-bark eaters he originates from. Every day, he fights his Yeerk, all the while unaware of whom and what he is, though it isn't long before the Seer realises that Saldash is not really Saldash. Vek dreams of freedom, but knows little of it, or of his people - but learns every day. Every time Saldash contradicts this, he loses a bit of will - but has plenty left.
Yeerk's Personality:
Sotor is unique in many aspects. For one, it is more of a silent, work behind-the-scenes Yeerk. It has to be, seeing as it is the Emperor, and this is a fact that must not go beyond the Council themselves. It is not an arrogant Yeerk, and is willing to learn from its mistakes. It opts to show itself during Council meetings, but makes great effort not to stand out, even sometimes taking a temporary Taxxon host. Oddly enough, it does not seek an Andalite host – yet. It believes that the time will come when it will get one, and that is when the Yeerk Empire has begun to infest Andalites. Sotor is old for a Yeerk, and has seen much; it hopes to see much more as its Empire grows in strength. It is a very confident and brave Yeerk, contrary to the fact that it hides its identity. It also cruel and cunning, but cruel in a more...silent manner. It does not assume a gender, though tends to use mostly male hosts.
Yeerk's History:
Sotor 767 does not remember much of its rise to leader of what was once an isolated planet of Yeerks. It still remains proud to have been only a grub when it took its first host, a Gedd of course, for itself, and braved a world of predators and dreariness. Eventually, it found itself within the Yeerk leadership, as a Councilor. As the current leader of the Council passed, Sotor was elected as the new. It was among the first Yeerks to have laid eyes upon Seerow, having been taken (along with the rest of the Council) to the Andalite upon his request to meet the Yeerk leadership. Intrigued by what it saw, the ambitious future Emperor began to strategise. One fateful day, they attacked; Guraff 427 was the first to kill.
When the Nahara were enslaved, some Councilors shed their Gedd hosts for these; there were few of them, however. Sotor opted to infest an Ongachic when one was caught, seeing as it was superior, but not by much, to the Gedd and Nahara. After Esplin 9466 declared the Hork-Bajir the living weapons of the Yeerk Empire, the Council was among the first to take Hork-Bajir hosts, Sotor among them, of course. It regarded the war and the dropping of the Quantum Drug great losses of the Empire, but continued to build its Empire. The Yeerks soon met the Taxxons, their allies, who were willing to serve as hosts for the Yeerks. It did not take a Taxxon host, but tried one to learn just what they were like.
It would continue to rule the Yeerks from the new Council ship, as the Empire grew. Its host eventually grew old; it took another Hork-Bajir. It was quite pleased with its Hork-Bajir, though it wished there could have been more; they were such perfect shock troops! Then there were the humans, however; it knew that, with so many hosts, the Yeerk Empire would be nigh unstoppable. However, Visser Three's progress was...unimpressive. Sotor deigned to take matters into his own hands, and took the identity of a Yeerk - which included his planned host, as well.
Host's History:
The Seer project wasn’t a very well-known endeavor, mostly because the Yeerks thought it to be impossible to successfully breed a Hork-Bajir; Saldash, however, was ready to prove his colleagues wrong. Supplied by the mysterious Visser Twenty (who later turned out to be none other than Sotor, who would later “kill off” this Visser and replace him with another) and using knowledge it had managed to extract from an Arn while on the Hork-Bajir world, the sub-visser created a batch of Hork-Bajir that had genes altered to make them stronger and more intelligent – a perfect weapon against Andalites, since currently, Hork-Bajir were quite formidable as they were. Only one Hork-Bajir managed to be produced, however; the rest either had genetic defects, or simply died during the process.
That Hork-Bajir was Vek Notur. He never knew what he was, though he eventually learned his species’ name: Hork-Bajir. But he was always different...and to those around him, different was good. Saldash’s Hork-Bajir face was the first he saw. He regarded Saldash as his mother, as the woman wished him to. He grew up, loving his “mother”...but he soon realised, with his empathy, that any compassion she showed for him was false. And he realised this was captivity; he never got to meet others, he could only play with himself. He never got to climb trees or do anything he really wanted to. And thus, the Seer planned an escape, never letting on that he knew something was amiss.
The Hork-Bajir planned to leave as soon as he could, but knew that right now, he was too young. He acted as though he was loyal...and then, his captors started trying to feed him propaganda (he didn’t know this, but they wanted to make him a voluntary host for a slug loyal to Saldash). He didn’t believe any of it, but made it seem as though he were going along. Aware that soon, something would happen, the Seer attacked when they were lax in their guard. The Hork-Bajir guarding him were unable to do anything as he attacked and killed them. He went on a rampage through the lab, stealing a Taxxon’s Dracon beam as he sliced the alien to ribbons. He fought and killed Saldash, earning him his scars. Vek soon found himself knocked out, and when he woke, there was a Yeerk in his head.
{Well-done, Vek Notur,} the Yeerk said. {But the Yeerk you killed was not Saldash. No; I am Saldash, and you now serve me.} He went on to crush the host – loving that he continued to fight back even with Saldash fully controlling him.
