The Hork-Bajir-Controller stared out at the endless expanse of white. Zero-space, which had fascinated him since he had been told of it by Seerow. He crossed his bladed arms, cocking his head, thinking back to those old days. There, on the Yeerk world, himself and the rest of his people had gathered, together, to oppose the Andalites. A small group in weak, lumbering Gedds that escaped into this same white expanse.
From there, the small group had become an Empire. His Empire, before his very eyes.
Kess, or Keslin as was her Yeerk name, was a subvisser - and a very good one - under his command. She and it - for they truly were two, working together - knew Sotor's name, and that he was a member of the Council of Thirteen. None of them knew that he was the Emperor; that was only for Eldra 928, his personal assassin and errand-runner, to know, and for everyone else not to find out.
Speaking of Kess, Sotor desired company. He had a Hork-Bajir-Controller call her to the bridge.
((OOC: Bring the Gedd too , please))

OOC: I'm starting this in Kess's private quarters. Kess was bathing in her quarters. She dried off with a towel and looked out the window. Her true home, the Yeerk homeworld, was now light-years away. But they were travelling in z-space, so it didn't feel that far away. <I wish we were back home instead of heading to Earth, mother.> Kess said to her "mother" in Galard. "But child, we must help the empire now. And very soon, Earth will be ours." said Keslin. <It'd be faster if Visser One didn't disagree with Visser Three and just wipe out the place.> Kess sighed. "She has her reasons. Unlike you, I prefer the infiltration approach." Keslin said. "Besides, on Earth you might find a suitable mate. And then, the two of you can begin phase two of our experiment." The Hork-Bajir controller knocked on her door and gave her Sotor's instructions. Kess opened the door slightly, so the Hork-Bajir controller would not see that she was nude. "I'll be right there." she said. She walked over to the closet and picked out a simple dress. Then she grabbed Kodo and walked out. When she arrived at the bridge she put Kodo down. Then she knelt before the emperor. "Hail, Visser Ten." she said in Galard. "May the Kandrona shine and strengthen you." OOC: I figured that even the Yeerks knelt before their emperor.

((OOC: Kess only knows that he is Councilor Eight. She does not know that Sotor is the Emperor. He would have her addressing him as "Visser Ten" here)).
Sotor smiled as she arrived. "Hail, Visser Ten. Keslin 319 of the ___ Pool submits to you. May the Kandrona shine and strengthen you." ((OOC: Hope you don't mind)).
"And you, Keslin 319," Sotor said, smiling slightly, tilting his head and looking directly at the subvisser. She was a sample of a perfect being: obedient, subservient, controlled. Bred to perfection, she was unlike his own intelligent but unfooled host. If there could be more Hork-Bajir and humans engineered as she was, and maybe faster if they could manage to bio-engineer a creature...
He looked at Kodo. He reached forward, and gently patted the Gedd with a Hork-Bajir claw. "Ah...the Gedd. Our first hosts. I remember taking a Gedd, back on the homeworld. That was...long ago."

Kess nodded, looking up at Visser Ten with vacant eyes. Keslin occassionally let her speak. "My mother used this particular Gedd as her first host. We've kept it around for sentimental value. Or at least I wanted to. Mother never objected to it." she said in Galard. She sat down next to Visser Ten. Keslin took over. "So, what is our mission here, Visser Ten?" Keslin asked. OOC: Kess is actually quite intelligent. Keslin has shared almost all her knowledge with her. Oh, and the reason for the vacant stare? She's supposed to have no mind of her own. It's a cliche I've seen in cartoons. Those who are mindless often stare vacantly. Sometimes they don't even have pupils.

Sotor listened, laying his host's arm across a counter as he focused his red eyes on the girl. She referred to Keslin as her mother; this was something he already knew, though it was still interesting. He also liked how she seemed almost like a drone, a vessel. If they could make all kinds of hosts like this, they would be able to over-power the Andalites...
"I do things like that as well," the Emperor replied in a gravelly Hork-Bajir voice, though the Yeerkish he spoke was extremely articulate. His first Gedd host had died of old age. He still had the Shredder he had stolen from the Andalites long ago on the homeworld. "Our mission is to 'assist' Visser Three in his assimilation of this world by establishing another front on the other side of the human homeworld. Our mission is also to monitor Visser Three and the situation, and then decide how to continue Earth's invasion: whether we shall continue with Visser One's infiltration methods, or instate new ones."

OOC: Sorry, I put Keslin's response on the wrong account. I deleted it and am now reposting it on the correct account. "If I may, sir, I think Visser One's ideas seem sounder. Although my host disagrees." said Keslin. "But this seems like an excellent idea. It seems like the Andalite bandits are only operating in one part of the world. So, where is the new base going to be set up?"

((OOC: Don't worry, that's honestly not a big deal. ^^; What were we going to have Kess do? Lead the Alexandrian front?))
"Sidney, Australia. And from there, we will spread," Sotor replied. "And I personally prefer a mixture of the two ideas; expanding our number of invasion points is doing thus. Of course, being a Councilor, they will be unable to contest me." He pat the Gedd.

Kess smiled. "And perhaps I shall find a mate. And then, I can give the empire a whole army of perfect hosts like myself. What do you think of that?"

Sotor agreed. "Correct," he said. Though, he knew that such things were dangerous in Yeerks; love was a powerful emotion, he'd ascertained. "We must look into doing this with Hork-Bajir, as well...can you imagine it? A voluntary army..."

Kess shook her head. "I doubt it would work as well. You see, there is one advantage the humans have over the Hork-bajir. They are more intelligent than most Hork-Bajir. Seers are the exception that proves the rule. The more intelligent the species, the easier they are to condition. I don't think love can be a problem. I think love can easily be used to subdue a host. Kess looked out the window. "This new world. It is so ugly." Kess said in her own voice. Do not worry, my child. Keslin said to her. Soon, we will put Yeerk pools everywhere. Then, you can have a sanctuary again." OOC: Is it ok if Kess has a portable Kandrona?

((OOC: I don't mind at all)).
Sotor frowned. At least, though humans, whom they had billions of and could produce many at a time, were available for this. And thus, they could start a whole generation of loyal, voluntary hosts. He would have to study Earth further, to see how to put this to use - and see it through with Keslin at his side.
"Yes..." eh replied, to what Kess said. "It is too...full of life. But once it's ours, we shall change it, and make its moon our own Kandrona star."

Kess brightened. "Visser Ten, are you aware that humans can actually absorb radiation from the sun? They absorb Vitamin D through their sun's ultraviolet rays. I am quite curious to know if it is possible to create hosts who can absorb Kandrona particles as easily? Just think, we may be able to create hosts that we do not have to leave! They would never be free. They would forever be our slaves!" That would be wonderful, mother.Kess said to Keslin.

((OOC: Actually, the Yeerks can absorb Kandrona rays while in hosts. It's just that they don't have a Kandrona above them all the time. So that wouldn't be necessary.))
