Garrafor knew he was faster than a Hork-Bajir and a stumbling human. Especially in the air. And they had a head-start. He got an idea, and turned to Drake. <Carry the human away from the Yeerks, in that direction.> He pointed towards what was obviously the skyline of the city. <Try not to come into contact with any humans. I am going to get something that may aid you and this boy. But it will take time. You need to get away from the Yeerks.>

"This day is strange..." Drake had to agree with that. This was somewhat unusual, even for him... And in another way, just a typical day. He chuckled at "Andalites, Hork-Bajir, and Taxxons oh my..."
Then, Garrafor instructed Drake to carry the boy toward the city, but avoid humans. Drake wasn't exactly sure how to do that, but he said, "I'll try..." and tried picking up the boy, while being sure not to pierce him with any blades. "Gyaah..." he grunted. This wasn't quite as easy as the little girl from earlier. He started moving, and said, "Sorry, you heard him... Any better ideas on how to run away more quickly?" before any complaints came, as they probably would.

"If we're running away from random homicidal maniacs together, may as well introduce myself.." Damian muttered, before continuing on. "I'm Damian, and I'd suggest we angle to the left, so we keep the forest cover. Towards the right we start getting towards the suburbs, where it'll be easier to be caught" Damian stated. Damian then looked around and patted the blaster.
"I'll use this thing if they get too close, I guess" Damian spoke, gesturing with the Dracon beam. He then turned and began to look around more.

The Hork-Bajir and human would see a fantastic, and disturbing, spectacle. The Andalite concentrated, and began to morph to short-tailed eagle. His body parts shifted and changed, organs sloshing, legs reasserting themselves or sucking themselves into his chest, a beak forming on his face; soon, he was a full bird, rather than an Andalite.

They'd mentioned flashing lights, a few days prior; Madeline had been looking out for these. She had managed to locate them, and drove her car in the direction they'd gone. Luckily, she was wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and tennies. She stopped the car along a dirt road, and hiked into the forest, realising too late how stupid this was; she could get kidnapped, or worse!
It was then that she heard voices, and sounds. It sounded like...weapons being fired, or something? Not like anything she'd heard before. She crept towards the sounds, and got to the scene, where there was a hopping boy, but even more bizarre, a bladed dinosaur-like thing, as well as...a mutant deer, of sorts, with a scythe-like tail-blade. It was...beautiful. And deadly, at the same time. If that wasn't freaky enough for her, it spoke - in her mind. It was telling the bladed thing to protect the boy, from something called Yeerks. And that it was going to get something that would help them.
If telepathy from a centaurish blue thing wasn't enough, it began to twist, and warp, and shape. Madeline yelped; she hadn't expected that!

Drake looked back at Garrafor "Whoa, what the hell?!" he cried, surprised. Garrafor was shifting, changing... It looked disgusting. Once he was done, he looked like an eagle. Drake was a little bit freaked out by that. He'd done transformations himself before, and they'd been instantaneous... Then again, this was probably completely different. It was incredibly unlikely that Garrafor had the same power as Drake had before coming to this world.
Drake heard someone let out a yelp however. He looked over toward where it had come from, "Hello? Is someone there?" he asked. Yes, there was. There was a woman standing there, looking surprised, "Who are you?" he asked.

Even the daring Madeline was afraid of the creature, and she was still recovering from the sight of the creature shifting. She yelped again, hugging the tree, looking into the creature's eyes. "My name is Madeline; please don't hurt me!"
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! she thought, mentally slapping herself. Still...she did have an urge to touch that lizard creature. To feel his skin. "Are-are you a dinosaur?" the human girl asked meekly, curious.

"My name is Madeline; please don't hurt me!" The woman said. Drake replied, "Don't worry, I'm not planning on hurting you." The woman looked scared. Then, more curious than anything else, as she asked "Are-are you a dinosaur?" Drake laughed, and replied. "No, I'm not. According to Garrafor, the..." he glanced over at the Andalite who was now an eagle, "...Eagle who obviously really isn't one, I'm a Hork-Bajir."
Drake chuckled again. "It's a fairly long story why I say, 'According to him' " He then remembered what they were running away from, "Unfortunately, we're being pursued, and we can't just stand here and talk about it." He wondered, should he try and pick the girl up? Trying to carry two people would be a bit much, even in his current form, he probably would end up being slower than the girl could run herself...
Then again, if she ran away on her own... That wouldn't be good either. Drake wasn't sure what to do... He glanced towards Garrafor questioningly... Though how he managed to look questioning while he had a Hork-Bajir's face, even he would have no idea.

Garrafor had been afraid that they would be shocked, but he was sure that they could deal with it after seeing Taxxons in their kamikaze cannibalism. He hadn't anticipated another innocent bystander would happen upon them, apparently a female this time. She yelped in fear; he hadn't anticipated this! He finished the morph as quickly as he could, scanning her with his eagle eyes. Somehow, Garrafor found that human woman attractive, in form as well as in manner.
<It is alright; we are not going to hurt you. I advise you come over here; danger lurks in these woods. I am going to get something that may assist you...as well as an explanation for everything that is transpiring, or has transpired. I ask for your patience in this; I will not be long.> He flapped his wings and began to circle towards the skies.

Damian looked around as Garrafor took off, before switching his gaze to the newcomer. "It'd be better to come with us then to become a pile of ash." Damian stated, gesturing towards the way they had come. "As it is, I barely know what in the name of God is going on." Damian spoke, before he quieted his voice and turned his attention to his ankle.
The Andalite tripping him hadn't caused it to be too bad, it seemed. It was twisted, yes, but the swelling wasn't very large. Ice would be good for it, but as it is he'd just have to work through the pain.

Drake watched as Garrafor flew off. He then looked over at the girl, "I don't really know what's going on either. You should probably listen to what he says, I know I'm going to..." He started running in the direction Garrafor had said to earlier.

Garrafor took off flying, leaving Drake to lead the others to safety. As he did, he could see the Hork-Bajir-Controllers were pretty far away from their present location. He took off towards the Four Seasons hotel, hoping onto a nice, warm thermal radiating off the city below. He had left his window open so that he could fly into it.
He didn't think that someone would be watching the skies, but was cautious as he drifted towards the window, expertly maneuvering his bird body inside. He noticed the boy a little too late, but hoped he'd dismiss it as nothing. He landed on the floor, strutting towards the bathroom. He demorphed in there.

Anthony had been staying in the hotel Jamie had just flown into. His Dad was visiting from the states, finally being able to afford it due to the large increase in jobs that the president had successfully put through. He was a good electrician, and he was raking in the money with his work ethic. But right now, he was out, going to buy some food while his son waiting in his hotel room. While he liked his Dad and had fun with him, when he left it got pretty dull. The hotel didn't have his video games, and his Dad didn't have his laptop with him.
So, Anthony lazily watched television, though he couldn't find anything on. Eventually he looked outside, mostly not liking what he saw. However, he and his father always looked out for birds, and he just spotted one. He was no bird watcher, so all he could tell about the bird was that it was a bird of prey, 'Heh, Dad's gonna miss seeing this, don't see many of them around here like in Ohio. Wait, are there birds of prey in Australia?' he really didn't know, he was inside all the time, so he didn't exactly have any chances to see any birds before.
'Oh well, whatever,' he thought to himself, but then he realized, '...What is that bird doing?' it was flying straight for the hotel wall. Except, it wasn't. It was headed for a window, which is succeeded in getting in. 'Whoa, that's not good...' he thought. He could imagine what a bird could do to a room if it panicked and flew all over the place, lots of damage, to property and the bird. It'd probably die if it panicked. 'I should probably go tell someone about what just happened, the girl at the desk could call animal control and get it out of there.'
He picked up the cordless telephone, and dialed the desk, as he left the room to go to the next, to get the room number. However, as the lady at the desk asked what he needed, Anthony stopped, "...never mind, sorry I bothered you." He hung up after the lady said okay and that if he needed anything he just needed to call. Why he had ended the call was that the door next to his that the bird flew into was open, and there was no bird.
"The hell? I know that bird flew in here," he said aloud, "No feathers or anything... it couldn't have just disappeared." Anthony let himself in, expecting the room was vacant, since the door was open. He passed the bathroom. He looked around curiously, looking for some sign of the bird's entrance, "The turning abilities of a bird that size wouldn't allow it to turn all the way around and go right back out the window without hitting something" he continued to say to himself. He then paused, "I do believe I need to stop talking to myself. Yes, indeed." he turned, the heat must be getting to him, maybe wearing a jacket, no matter how light it may or may not be, was a good idea in this country - not that he was going to stop, his pale skin came before his sanity... for now anyway.
He saw something as he turned, apparently he was wrong, this room was far from vacant.

Garrafor head a boy talking outside the door. He mentally chastised himself; he was going to try and morph human, but knew by then, it would be much too late. He had to just hope that the boy wasn't a Controller. If he was a Controller...well, he'd have to knock him out. But Controllers didn't really talk to themselves, unless they were talking with their host. It was probably just some goofy - and rather smart - human. He hoped no-one had gotten the blue box...but he was sure they hadn't. He'd used a very good hiding place, and disassembled it; it would take Andalite knowledge to put it back together, and he doubted they'd realise things were missing before it got to Visser Three.
The door moved open slightly, and Garrafor was revealed. The boy was staring straight at him. Garrafor lowered his tail to the floor. <Do not be afraid,> he told him, moving quickly to the hall door and closing it.

Zap was now face to face... with something. It made little sense at all. Doing a quick scan, he noticed many things dreadfully wrong with what was in front of him. First off, fucking blue, aside from being a horrible color, what the hell in nature is naturally blue? Nothing, only counting mammals, of course. That just isn't right, it also looks like a centaur, except somehow even more fucked up then that. The face looked horribly disfigured, lacking a mouth, the nose looked smashed, two sets of eyes, one where they should be and another on stalks which were just plain creepy. Did Anthony mention he had no mouth? No mouth meant he couldn't eat, but he had to get energy from something. Osmosis? Was he actually some plant hybrid thing that lived off the sun's rays with synthesis? He didn't have any pedals or anything though, or pores to absorb stuff into his body, so those were unlikely, but he had to get energy and other essential things to function, so how the fuck does it do it? The last thing he noticed, since he was coming out of the bathroom, was the tail, in which Anthony flinched a bit, his left eye twitching. 'Damn thing looks like it has a giant dinosaur sized tooth attached to it, that could slice me in half like butter.'
<Do not be afraid,> he heard inside his head, in a voice that was definitely not his own. 'What the hell was that?' then he realized, it had to be the being in front of him, 'Telepathy. Only makes sense for a being with no mouth, though in the making sense part, it actually working does not make so much.' He still had something else to say thought, "Easy for you to sa-" he realized the folly his current word choice, "think. You're the one with the bladed tail while I'm defenseless. I'm guessing you can read minds, but in case you can only send you thoughts, and receive based on will, I'll explain what I'm thinking to you. Who are you? And what are you? Nothing about you makes any sense at all-" he then realized, "...at least by Earth standards." He had been so caught up in thinking about how messed up the guy was to think that he was an alien, which seems like a pretty good guess right now - dude's still fucked up all over though, either way.
